Helm's status

Helm is a trading name of Helmpay Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16417022) with its registered office at 2 Frederick Street, London, WC1X 0ND, United Kingdom. Helmpay Limited is a financial technology company. It is not a bank, and it does not itself hold a banking, electronic money or payment institution licence.

Licensed partners

Accounts, payments, currency conversion and digital dollar services are provided by licensed banking, money transmission and digital asset partners, each authorised in the jurisdiction in which it provides the service. The partners that provide services to your business, their regulators and their licence references are set out in your account agreement before your account opens, and you are told in writing if they change. Client funds are held by those partners, not by Helmpay Limited.

Who Helm serves

Helm serves businesses registered outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Helm does not provide services to consumers.

Trade finance

Trade finance facilities are arranged by Helm case by case and documented under separate facility agreements that state the provider, the amount, the term and the total cost before you accept.

Digital dollars

USDC is issued by Circle and USDT by Tether. They are not legal tender and are not covered by deposit protection schemes. Their value depends on the issuer maintaining reserves. Payments on public networks are final once confirmed. Helm screens digital dollar payments in the same way as bank payments.
